The delegation of the National People's Congress Standing Committee arrived in Belarus under the leadership of Chairman Zhang Dejiang.
The official visit will last the April 18th. Chairman of the Belarusian National Assembly Mikhail Miyas Nickovic and Speaker of the House of Representatives Urademir Andrechenko, will hold a joint discussion with the Chinese delegation, Signed a joint statement between the Belarusian National Assembly and the National People's Congress of China. The members of two countries will discuss the comprehensive strategic cooperation on expansion of the two countries in the parliament,economic, investment, humanities and other areas.
The Chinese delegation will also visit the Silk Road Economic Zone Center Platform "Boulder" in the White Industrial Park and the Great Patriotic War History of the National Museum of Belarus and the National Museum of Art.
The Belarus and China established diplomatic relations on January 20th, 1992. The two sidesregularly have the high-level visits and the active inter parliamentarydialogue to safeguard the rapid development of political, economic, trade andcultural relations. The two countries havesuccessfully cooperated in international organizations and supported each otheron the issue of principle. The Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Working Groupwas run at the Belarusian National Assembly and the National People's Congressof China.
The high level’s political relation between Belarus and China is a reliable basis for the development of bilateral trade relations. In 2016, the bilateral trade volume between Belarus and mainland of China was nearly $ 2.6 billion. Belarus supplies potash fertilizers,petrochemical products, combine harvesters, open-air pit dump truck spare parts, agricultural equipment and many other goods to China. The cooperation between the Belarus and China and the city's friendly relations between theBelarus states and Chinese provinces are important forms of activating country relations,especially in bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
